Making A Purchase We will deliver anywhere in the UK. If you are shopping from ouside the UK please contact us direct to arrange payment and delivery.

Making a purchase could not be easier. Just browse our Catalog, and click on any items that you wish to buy and put them into the shopping cart. After you have finished your selection, click on "Order" and you will be asked for a few details that we need to be able to satisfy the order.

We accept credit card payment. We accept Visa and Mastercard. We do not charge for any item until it is ready to ship. Backordered items are not charged until they are shipped. You may send your credit card information via phone, fax, snail mail or over the Internet.

Shipping And Handling UK postage is charged at the following delivery weights:

0.10kgs - £1.50

0.25Kgs - £1.85

0.50Kgs - £2.40

0.75Kgs - £3.25

1.00Kgs - £4.25

1.50Kgs - £5.95

2.00Kgs - £7.65

4.00Kgs - £10.95

6.00Kgs - £12.95

Exceptions to these charges are products classed as bulky or heavy items (i.e. multiples of cushion inners, full rolls of lining or interlining etc.)

These will be sent by carrier at a surcharge of £6.00 on the normal delivery rate.

Products classed as "bulky or heavy" will be marked accordingly in the catalogue.

Some catalogue items have a "supplementary" or a "one-off" carriage charge which is detailed in the product description. Some of these items will be shipped direct from the manufacturer and the carriage is charged accordingly whilst others are special orders.

Delivery Schedule We aim to dispatch in stock items within one or two days whenever possible. Out of stock items will be dispatched as soon as we receive them. If we expect there to be a considerable delay in dispatching your goods we will let you know.

Some manufacturers are sometimes out of stock of an item for weeks. There is nothing we can do here, but we will do our best to keep you informed of any problems. You may of course cancel any items that are on backorder. Deliveries of paint, fabrics or wallpapers are usually 3-5 working days and may require a signature. Some fabric companies will not deliver direct to our customer, therefore an additional carrier charge will be incurred (this will be advised at the time of ordering).

Back Orders If your item is not in stock, we will back order for you. You will always be emailed with the option to cancel your order if you would rather not wait.
Tax Charges For orders made from the UK or the European Union, 17.5% VAT is added. All other orders are VAT free and you should click the exempt button to reduce VAT to zero .
Credit Card Security All credit card numbers are encrypted in the software when the order is placed using 128 bit encryption. They are only decrypted after they reach our computer. They are not held in clear text on any web site.

Privacy Policy Maureen Whitemore Interiors By Design do not disclose buyers' information to third parties. Cookies are used on this shopping site to keep track of the contents of your shopping cart once you have selected an item, to store delivery addresses if the address book is used and to store your details if you select the 'Remember Me' Option.

Data collected by this site is used to:

c. Only disclose information to third-parties for goods delivery purposes

We will treat your personal information as confidential, on a secure server and will comply with all applicable UK Data Protection.

Returns Policy Items that arrive damaged or faulty will be exchanged with no excess postage charged. We will replace items lost in the post, but we do ask that you assist the Post Office in their attempts to track the parcel (they will usually send you a form) and ask if the parcel is at your local sorting office. (We quite often find that a card has not been left when an attempted delivery has been made). We may have to ask you to wait for a few days to see if the parcel appears.

To return items that are not damaged or faulty, please check with us first. No returns will be made without prior notice or arrangement. We will usually accept such returns but we do not refund postage, and will not accept responsibility for items lost or damaged in transit back to us. Workroom Manual sections in particular cannot be exchanged once they have been opened.
